North-east residents are in for a treat as a vegan version of a popular Easter sweet is set to be released later this month.
British chocolate firm Mummy Meagz will launch its Chuckie Egg product in Holland & Barrett stores nationwide on Wednesday January 22.
It is the first company to offer up a vegan version of the in-demand Creme Egg.
Featuring a rich chocolate shell, a creamy inside and gooey ‘yolk’, the handmade egg will come wrapped in blue foil.
The north-east is home to three Holland & Barrett stores. The first in the Bon Accord Centre, the second in the Trinity Centre on Union Street and the third in Tesco Extra on Laurel Drive.
The recommended retail cost for the Chuckie Egg is 99p.
