Three north-east businesses were crowned winners at last night’s Official Make-Up Awards.
Samantha Banks, a make up artist from Rothienorman won Freelance Make Up Artist of the Year Scotland and Peterhead beauty salon Senoritas was announced Make Up Salon of the Year Scotland.
Make up training academy GlamCandy, which is based on Holburn Street, Aberdeen and headquartered in Edinburgh, was awarded the title of Training Academy of the Year Overall Winner.
Taking place for a second year, the awards highlight the talent, creativity and impeccable customer service the businesses boast.
The winners were chosen by the public who had to vote for the firms in the running.
The awards, which took place in Manchester, were hosted by presenter Tabitha Hunter-Smale, who gave out 14 accolades.
An Official Make-Up Awards spokesman said: “We are very delighted to have welcomed such great finalists and winners at the second Official Make-Up Awards 2019.
“It was a very inspiring night. The make up industry plays a vital role in the British economy and we were honored to see that our attempt to acknowledge and reward the meritorious professionals of the sector has been successful.
