Three north-east businesses have been recognised at a national awards ceremony.
Grape and Grain, McGinty’s Meal An’ Ale and The Noose & Monkey all took home awards at The Scottish Bar & Brew Awards 2019 in Glasgow.
Wine bar Grape and Grain won Gin Bar of the Year, Gastro Pub of the Year (North) was presented to The Noose & Monkey and McGinty’s Meal An’ Ale took home the Best of Aberdeen accolade.
Around 150 representatives of the best bars in Scotland gathered at the inaugural event to celebrate the industry’s achievements.
Jeanette Forbes proprietor of Grape and Grain said: “The team at Grape and Grain are delighted to bring the award for Gin Bar of the Year back to Aberdeen.
“It validates the great work our team puts into our gin offering, their expertise and their high level of customer service. It also recognises the promotional work which we do with our local distilleries and our commitment to raising the profile of Scotland’s fantastic botanicals.”
Irfan Younis CEO of Creative Oceanic added: “Although in the first year, we received a fantastic response from the public who was really keen to vote for their favourite bars that keep the country alive.
“This industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to reward those who have managed to make a real difference by providing fantastic drinks and great hospitality.
“The winners are an outstanding example of excellence, whose dedication to be the best has made them stand out among the rest.
“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”
