A new season of magic, music, drama and dance is in store at Aberdeen’s Tivoli Theatre.
The Guild Street venue has launched its exciting new season in a brochure where theatre bosses promise to “have something for everyone”.
Highlights range from Britain’s Got Talent finalist, West End star and multi-award-winning magician Ben Hart to Dons legends in conversation and Strictly Come dancing stars taking to the stage.
Christina Camillo, Tivoli sales and marketing manager, said: “We have quite a varied programme coming up for the next six months and we really do have something for everyone.
“There are shows for the comedy fans, we have music, we have musicals. It’s important to tap into all those different genres.”
Ben Hart will bring his show, Wonder, to the theatre on February 6, while Dons icons Joe Harper and Bobby Clark will be in conversation on February 13.
The Ballroom Boys, with Strictly stars Ian Waite and Vincent Simone, will step out on April 19.
Christina said other highlights include Steve Steinman’s Vampire Rocks, with more than 30 classic rock anthems on January 23.
Christina said: “That’s going to be a rocking show, with music from the likes of AC/DC and Meat Loaf.”
Top comedian Adam Buxton will perform on June 25. Christina added: “We are excited about that and it will probably be a sell-out show.”
There will also be a rich strand of local talent in amateur theatre shows, including three AYMT – 9 To 5, All Shook Up and The Wizard Of Oz, while the Lyric will present Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.
The Tivoli has gone from strength to strength in the six years since it reopened, attracting bigger shows and more audiences.
Christina said anyone who hasn’t yet enjoyed a night at the Tivoli should take a look at the new season.
She said: “We’re Aberdeen’s oldest theatre and it’s something special, like a hidden gem. It’s a great night out.”
The new programme for the Tivoli, with the full line-up, is available online now and in print from today.
