The finalists for the Scottish Licensed Trade News (SLTN) Awards have been announced with four north-east businesses receiving recognition.
Three Aberdeen businesses and one shire business have received finalist positions in five of the 22 categories.
The awards, which is now in its 23rd year, recognise excellence in Scotland’s licensed trade.
Aberdeen cocktail bar Orchid is in the running for the Cocktail Bar of the Year, where they will defend last year’s winning title and the bar’s general manager Nick Gordon is also up for Mixologist of the Year.
The Foundry on Holburn Street has been shortlisted in the Best Venue to Watch the Match category, while The Silver Darling is up for Restaurant of the Year (Casual Dining).
The Dowans Hotel in Aberlour is one of three finalists in the Whisky Bar of the Year.
Highlighting the people and businesses which stand out from the crowd, the awards have been regarded as “the trade night of the year”.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel on Thursday, November 1.
