The family business hand-makes all of its natural soy wax products in its workshop and all of the candles are said to burn for around 50 hours.
Darren Campbell, owner of West, said: “Our aim is to bring “less stress, more peace and adventure” into people’s lives wherever they are around the world. My family are from the West Coast of Scotland and we’ve spent a lot of time exploring the islands over the years, I’m really passionate about our county’s incredible landscape and the stories tied to it. This, coupled with such a busy and connected time in society, there’s never been a better time to switch off and get back to nature.
“I’d been through the works with stress and anxiety for a number of years and in 2017 I took a life changing holiday to the West Coast where I stayed in a bothy in Skye for a week, walking up mountains, through forests, over beaches and drinking the occasional single malt in front of a log
fire. It really changed my perception on what’s important in life and this is when the company was born.
“I knew that it was my mission to create a product and brand based on the incredible experiences associated with the West Coast of Scotland and to help people get back to nature and feel human again. Taking time out is so important these days and we’re just getting started on our journey to
helping people get back to what matters. It’s a really bold plan and what’s to come is really exciting for us.
“All our candles are made from the finest ingredients, ethically sourced and handmade by my incredible mum (my business partner) in our workshop in Cruden Bay. We’re now stocked in a number of specially selected outlets throughout the country along with our online store and we can’t wait to share more stories about Scotland and wellbeing as we move forward on this new journey. The feedback has been so encouraging and it’s been great to work with so many incredible people as we roll out our products to our fans.”
The candles are priced at £30 and for more information, click here.
