A north-east beer festival has announced its dates for next year – and is planning to toast 10 years of success.
Stonehaven’s Midsummer Beer Happening will take place over three days from Thursday June 20 and expects to attract around 5,500 to the coastal town.
Organiser Robert Lindsay said over the decade the event has raised more than £125,000 for local charities.
The Happening’s cycling event, introduced four years ago, has grown in popularity to become one of the most sought-after events in Scotland’s cycling calendar, offering three challenging routes over 52, 72 and 100 miles.
General tickets will go on sale in the spring for the event, run by volunteers and held in a purpose-built marquee in the town’s Baird Park.
Robert, founder of the town’s Six°North Brewery, said: “We have come a long way since 2009 when a group of friends with a passion for beer, decided to hold the first Stonehaven Real Ale Festival.” Find out more at midsummerbeerhappening.co.uk
