An Aberdeen hair and wig salon has officially launched its own hair academy.
Luisa Flores, who owns Florescence on Claremont Street, started the new academy with fully ABT Accredited courses to give Aberdeen hairdressers the chance to learn key skills.
The next addition to Aberdeen’s hair education offering, the courses will allow stylists to learn a variety of skills in Aberdeen instead of being forced to travel to other cities to do so.
Launching this week, the first course on offer is on nano hair extensions.
NANO HAIR EXTENSIONS TRAINING COURSE Hairdressers do you want to further your career? Learn new knowledge and…
Luisa said: “Hair extensions are one of the services I specialise in and I love it and would love to share my knowledge and skills with other hairdressers. For the moment I’m just starting with the one extensions course to see how it goes and if all goes to plan I will add additional methods and hair replacement courses, too.
“The reason I decided to start the academy was because I know myself, in this industry learning never stops due to fashions changing and new products being released on the market.
“For many of the courses I have attended over the years I’ve had to travel to Glasgow, Manchester or London, so to offer these training courses in Aberdeen will be great for hairdressers in the north-east as they won’t have to travel so far. The traveling can be quite costly with accommodation, too, so I wanted to be able to offer something closer to home.
“This is hugely exciting for me to be able to share my skills and experience with other professionals who are keen to learn. As the salon is still so new to the scene it’s amazing to be able to add this and grow the business further.”
