Aberdeen’s Alpha Clinic has pledged its support for the Virtual Society Awards 2020, sponsoring not one but two categories.
The ceremony will return in an all-new format this year, with interactive live entertainment and the winners being announced online.
The glittering event is aiming to shine a light on the line-up of hard-working north-east businesses, who have been forced to adapt and diversify their services in recent months, during these unprecedented times.
Now, Alpha Clinic has been announced as one of the latest businesses to back the awards.
The exclusive and innovative clinic, based on Albyn Terrace, is sponsoring the Hair and Beauty Award of the Year and the Fitness, Health and Wellbeing Award of the Year.
Managing directors Dr Thanassi – who studied at Oxford University and Kings College in London and has been a practising plastic surgeon across the globe for more than a decade – and Leah Athanassopoulos said that as soon as they heard about the awards, they “wanted to be a part of them immediately”.
“I feel like they are a great opportunity to celebrate Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire businesses,” Leah added.
“I think that a platform that celebrates local business, like Society, is so important right now. We’ve all had to adapt our lives and businesses so drastically over 2020, it feels great to have something positive to focus on.”
Alpha Clinic officially launched earlier this year and has continued to expand and better its services, much like the finalists within the eight categories.
It offers an impressive range of treatments for consumers – including procedures for skin cancer, nose and breast reconstruction, burn injuries and much more – all of which are supported with premium evidence-based technology to deliver the safest procedures available on the aesthetic market.
Leah added: “While change is often difficult and we can’t celebrate in the ways we are used to, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate.
“Now more than ever, we as a community have to find ways to come together and support each other.
“And what better way to watch the awards than at home in comfortable clothing?
“It’s a great way to be a part of the local business community and virtual awards bring a bit of sparkle, glam, and celebrations back into our lives.
“We can’t wait to see all the local businesses celebrating together.”
