Two skilled north-east bakers have unveiled an Aberdeen Beach Ballroom-inspired cake.
Depicting the stunning art deco building, the cake was created and designed by Kintore-based home baker Arty-Crafty Cakes by Lhea and Aberdeen’s Ele-Anne Cakes.
Lhea said: “Basically, we both wanted to create something that would replicate the building itself and focus on the little details, for example, the top tower and the front of the ballroom.
“Emma of Ele-Anne Cakes wanted to replicate the dance figures around the model she received from the client, and show-off the great features of the building as it is quite unique.”

This cake was a joint project between myself and my amazingly talented baker friend @artycraftycakesbylhea . I take absolutely no credit for the decoration of this cake as Leah is a master at fondant work. I purely baked it, made stencils and attempted some carving work. If you are looking for a baker who can skilfully create replicas of cars, characters, buildings, pretty much anything Leah @artycraftycakesbylhea is your girl. She is so talented and im delighted i have such a great friend and working relationship with her and often recommend her if i am busy or if a client wants a fondant covered cake (i am purely buttercream only).
