An Aberdeenshire bar has launched a range of its own gin and vodka liqueurs.
Cheers Bar Cafe and Tavern in Fraserburgh has started creating its own range of spirits liqueurs with six different flavours available.
The flavours include Candy Cane liqueur, Porn Star Martini liqueur, Violet Fairy vodka liqueur, Bubblegum gin liqueur, Unicorn gin liqueur and the recently launched Turkish Delight gin liqueur.
The liqueurs are available to purchase in 200ml, 350ml and 500ml bottles and range from £9.95 for the smaller bottles to £19.95 for the larger ones.
The bar has also created 100 proof Pirate Grog (50% vol) which comes in five flavours, including gobstopper, cola, candy floss, strawberry and Irn Bru. These vodka-based drinks are best enjoyed with lemonade and ice.
Dennis Forsyth, director of the bar, said: “The gin liqueurs were the first of a line of spirits we are making. They’ve been very successful and it all started off with unicorn gin liqueur.
“I was playing around with the flavour and made some drinks with it and it went down a storm. So many people asked about it and wanted a bottle to take home.
“We are now producing a strong shot called 100 proof Pirate Grog – we’ve ran out of it but are creating more.
“We have a licence to compound and rectify spirits plus have had weights and measures and the environmental department around to see us to make sure everything is above board, which it absolutely is. We’ve just released a Turkish Delight gin liqueur last weekends, too, and it’s very tasty.”
As well as offering the variety of liqueurs, the bar also has a diverse cocktail menu and boasts a selection of ales and spirits, including almost 400 whiskies and more than 300 gins.
