A pop-up Japanese street food restaurant is set to open its doors permanently due to popular demand.
SooShee previously hosted a pop-up residence at the former Cognito Deli premises on Union Grove.
As a result of its high demand, SooShee is now open at the city centre spot permanently.
Owned by local businessman Chung Wong, it will be open six days a week, closing on a Tuesday.
The eatery will offer up authentic Japanese food including nigiri, Gucan sushi (spicy sushi), maki rolls in a variety of styles and flavours, ramen, miso soup, salads, Katsu curry, yakitori and chef’s daily specials too.
Dishes will include crab, smoked salmon, chicken, scallops, pork and more, and there will also be a range of vegetarian dishes on offer such as the asparagus maki roll, the green salad and vegetarian ramen.
Opening times are Monday to Thursday 4.30-9.30pm and Friday to Sunday from noon to 2.30pm and 4.30-9.30pm.
Customers can make reservations by calling 01224 379299. Walk-ins are also welcome.
