A new fish and chip shop has opened in Aberdeen.
Low’s Traditional Fish and Chips has launched its second takeaway at Berryden retail park.
Located next to Sainsbury’s supermarket at unit 4, the shop will be open seven days a week from noon until 8pm serving a number of its award-winning dishes.
Following a busy opening weekend, owner David Low said: “The opening weekend went very well. We were looking at just doing a soft opening as we wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly, but as you can imagine it was very busy. We’ve been operating in Westhill for 30 years so this base is a great addition to our portfolio.
“Our flagship dish is fresh haddock and chips – a lot of people ordered that. We operate the same system as we do in Westhill, meeting and greeting the customer and every single thing is cooked fresh.
“Westhill was awarded the title of number one fish and chip shop in Scotland by The National Fish and Chip awards 2019, and Alex Walker was the runner up for Young Fish Fryer of the Year.
“With Berryden we’ll look to build on the success of the brand to date. We run a good menu with fresh produce cooked to order and I think that’s why our customers love our offering so much.”
Low’s first store is based in Westhill at the shopping centre.
