Aberdeen vegan eatery launches epic burger with huge mac and cheese fritter

An Aberdeen vegan eatery has launched a new burger – and it features a huge deep fried mac and cheese fritter.
Roots at Ninety-Nine is serving up the special which will be available until Sunday at 99 Bar & Kitchen on Back Wynd.
Featuring a Beyond Meat burger, topped with a Cajun tortilla crumbed macaroni and cheese fritter, the burger is served up in a toasted brioche bun with crack sauce, caramelised onion and cheese on top.
The kitchen residency at the bar is run by vegan catering firm Roots Catering which is owned by Nick Coetzer.
The burger costs £12 and is available all day.
