An Aberdeen salon has been crowned Hair Salon of the Year in the north-east at a national awards ceremony.
Headkase, which is run by owner Amber Turner, took home the title at the Scottish Hair and Beauty awards which took place in Glasgow.
The salon employs three people including Amber’s sister Rosie Whyte and is located on Marischal Street. It was up against strong competition from the likes of Ruby Tuesday, Utopia and Essence Hair and Beauty, to name a few.

Around 700 of Scotland’s hair and beauty professionals gathered at the awards which are now in their eighth year.
The event acknowledges the best of the country’s hair and beauty industry as well as those who are dedicated to working hard to help people find their style and make their clients feel fantastic.
Amber said: “To even make the finals was so rewarding, but to win the award is an unbelievable feeling.
“After years of hard work, tough times and determination HeadKase has finally been recognised. It has reignited my passion for hair.
“I’d like to thank my team, Kaitlin and Rosie, and say an even bigger thank you to my amazing clients who have stood by the biggest ‘HeadKase’ of all!”
