An Aberdeen pub is set to launch a new vegan menu in time for Veganuary.
The Bobbin, which is located on King Street, will launch the delicious meat and dairy-free menu with dishes such as Bao Buns with pulled jackfruit and a jackfruit burger with vegan mayonnaise, hitting the menu.
The pub will also offer up a vegan black bean and butternut squash chilli served with spicy rice or with chilli cheese fries with vegan cheese, and a butternut squash macaroni and cheese dish for vegans and non-vegans alike to try out.
Diners can also expect to see vegan grilled cheese, nachos, and a falafel salad on the menu, not to mention a delicious chocolate orange torte for dessert.
Described as ‘pulled pork for vegetarians’, jackfruit will continue to be a huge food trend in 2019 and the menu will feature three dishes which will showcase the tasty ingredient.
General manager Tim Young said: “Taking up a diet change, such as Veganuary, can be challenging, that’s why we have created a diverse vegan menu that everyone will enjoy.”
