An Aberdeen cheese restaurant has launched a new menu – and it features the cheesiest mashed potatoes ever.
Melt on Belmont Street revealed its latest offering today, welcoming dishes including cheddar and parmesan grissini and sausages with pomme puree (cheesy mashed potatoes)

As well as steak frites, raclette, a vegan burger and burger sliders, the eatery also offers up poutine with a range of toppings such as blue cheese, crispy bacon, haggis, pulled pork, Stornoway black pudding, a fried egg, garlic butter or rare rump steak. Vegan versions feature vegan haggis, barbecue pulled jack fruit and garlic mushrooms.
The dessert menu includes cinnamon French toast sticks – brioche dipped in cinnamon sugar and pan fried with bourbon and brown butter, served with caramel, double nugget – a classic retro Scottish ice cream sandwich with mascarpone ricotta ice cream and butterscotch Angel Delight, sticky toffee brownie pudding and a vegan mouse.
