The inaugural Society Awards honoured the very best of the north-east at a glittering ceremony.
The excellence and commitment of those working in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire’s food and drink, entertainment, tourism, interior, and fashion and beauty industries, was recognised at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Aberdeen last night.
A total of 15 accolades were up for grabs at the awards ceremony, sponsored by Aberdeen Inspired, which was hosted by former TV anchor and media consultant Pauline Fraser.

Guests at the Society Awards enjoyed miniature cocktails – prepared by Revolution – and wine provided by Stagecoach.
A three-course meal was served up, along with entertainment from magician and mentalist Ariel Hamui, Aberdeen DJ HomeAlone and saxophonist Konrad Wiszniewski.
Attendees were also able to pose in front of a gold glitter wall provided by Lombardi Events and capture fun GIFS thanks to Calum Riddell Photography.
A raffle, which saw proceeds going to Charlie House, was also drawn on the night.
Prizes included two tickets to Lewis Capaldi and dinner at P&J Live, an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast at Fife Arms in Braemar, a Sunday lunch for four at Maryculter House Hotel, and four tickets to Cirque du Soleil, also at P&J Live.
Editor of Society, Samantha Leckie said: “I would like to congratulate not only the winners of the Society Awards, but each and every person who took the time to enter.
“The north-east has a lot to be proud of and the awards were a way for us to shout about the city on a bigger scale.
“We are so lucky to have outstanding bars and restaurants, wonderful entertainment venues, and real stars in the world of beauty, fashion, and home interiors – not to mention food and drink producers that are the envy of the nation.
“These businesses and individuals are constantly pushing the boundaries and striving to make the north-east a better place to be.”
Adrian Watson, chief executive of title sponsor Aberdeen Inspired, said: “The inaugural Society Awards were hugely enjoyable and it was fantastic to have the event hosted in the heart of our city centre at the wonderful Sandman Hotel.
“Award events like this are a great way to highlight local talent and the fact that it was sold out indicates the prominence the Society Awards already enjoy and they will undoubtedly go from strength to strength.
“Attendees were treated to a brilliant night and seeing all the hard work that goes on in the city centre, wider city and region showcased and celebrated on this platform was a pleasure.”
Allan McEwan, city development manager for Aberdeen at CityFibre – which sponsored the Best Social Media Presence of the Year award – said: “Events like the Society Awards develop vital links between online and offline communities, engaging old and new audiences with links to Aberdeen, wherever they may be, and we are proud to support them as they nurture and recognise businesses and individuals in the community.
“The impressive finalists within the Social Media Presence category are testament to how fully the Aberdeen business community has embraced online opportunities to compete locally and globally, and we look forward to watching this sector thrive and grow as we deliver the city’s £40m+ full fibre transformation to GigabityCity status.”
