A north-east chef will feature on a new Scottish TV cooking show later this week, competing against a Masterchef winner.
Craig Wilson, owner of Aberdeenshire eatery, Eat on the Green in Udny Green, is set to star alongside Masterchef: The Professionals winner Gary Maclean in Corner Shop Cook Off on BBC Scotland on Wednesday night.
Known locally as The Kilted Chef, Craig was tasked with serving up a three-course menu for just £15 using ingredients from a local corner shop in the village of Law in Lanarkshire.
Hosted by Scottish actress and singer Clare Grogan, viewers have watched Gary cook and compete with top chefs from across the country.
The six-episode series has seen chefs including Julie Lin MacLeod of Julie’s Kopitiam, Rachna Dheer of Babu Bombay Street Kitchen and Jacqueline O’Donnell of The Sisters impress the judges – the public.
The series will conclude on Wednesday at 8pm with the episode which features Craig.
