Gin lovers can look forward to a brand new gin festival celebrating the popular spirit later this year.
G2Gin Festival will be held at Trinity Hall on Holburn Street, Aberdeen on September 14 and 15.
In total, 25 gin companies will come together for the event, which is supported by well-known tonic producers Fever Tree.
Visitors will have the chance to discover a range of top-quality gins and recipes. In addition, they will be able to purchase old favourites and new discoveries for their collection.
Three masterclasses will be held as part of the two-day event which will be included in the ticket price. It will give visitors the chance to learn more about the flavours and botanicals of their favourite brands.
Companies such as Teasmiths, Granite North, Wild Thyme, Riverside Spirits and Indian Summer already signed up for the festival.
Fever Tree will provide each exhibitor with their preferred tonic for the event to create their perfect G&T.
The event is the brainchild of spirits expert Grant Smith. He said he had witnessed ‘an explosion of craft gin’ and saw a demand for a gin festival in Aberdeen.
Grant added: “Scotland leads the world in craft gin production and our appetite for the spirit continues to grow.
“We’ve lined up some great gin companies and want it to be the biggest and best drinks festival in the city.”
Tickets for the event are £30 per person and include tokens for the different gins, canapes, a Copa gin glass, goodie bag and entry to one masterclass.
There will also be a gin bar and, to add to the atmosphere, there will be live music from renowned local singer Paul Black.
