A new Indian restaurant will open in Union Square next week.
Riksha, which was launched by the team behind former Indian eatery Cinnamon, will launch on Saturday August 17 from 10am.
Offering up street food inspired dishes, the owners say it will bring a completely different dining style to the current cuisine offering in the city.
The 110-seater restaurant will be open from 10am to 11pm and will be located between Pure Spa and Coast to Coast on the first floor.
It will introduce Indian breakfast items like masala omelette, pau bhaji, lunch time grab-and-go specials including salads, naan burritos and thalis for diners to try out.
In the evening, diners can expect a choice of Indian-style tapas to enjoy, inspired by some of Cinnamon’s most popular dishes. The menu will boast classics with a twist and there will also be a range of gluten-free and vegan options to enjoy.
Our chefs have been experimenting with some recipes for our menu. Riksha Streetside Indian is opening soon. Are you as excited as we are?

Exotic drinks and mocktails will also be available in the 110-seater restaurant.
Khalis Miah is the general manager of the eatery and he will bring his experience of working in the industry for years to the venue.
The firm will also give back to those in need locally, preparing 100 meals every week to distribute among the homeless and less fortunate by partnering with local charities.
