An Aberdeen bar is to launch a new seafood restaurant in its Union Street venue.
Soul Bar will unveil the new eatery, called The Fishmarket At Soul, in its refurbished conservatory area – formerly known as the back bar space.
The venue closed its kitchen during the festive period to accommodate the refurbishment which will bring the food and dining concept to life.
As well as a new food offering for the bar, the conservatory area has undergone some refurbishment work and will present a fresh new look to coincide with the food concept. It will also now be the main dining area in Soul, however diners may also dine within Soul Bar on request.
The Fishmarket At Soul’s menu will celebrate Scottish seafood, with a large range of starters, as well as Scottish shellfish and alternative main dishes such as classic pie and mash. The main feature of the menu will be the “Real Fish & Chips”. The Soul kitchen team has consulted with award-winning fish and chip shop The Bay Fish & Chips in Stonehaven to perfect their take on classic fish and chips dishes.
The restaurant will seat 87 diners and will also have place settings available around the restaurant bar.
It is expected to open at the end of January.
