A north-east ice cream firm has created a new flavour for people to enjoy during Aberdeen’s crime writing festival Granite Noir.
Taking place from tomorrow until Sunday, the festival will see a number of crime writing stars arrive in the city.
Mackie’s of Scotland have created a grey ice cream to pay homage to the city and the festival itself.
Available at the firm’s city centre ice cream parlour Mackie’s 19.2, situated at Marischal Square, the flavour has been created using Traditional Mackie’s ice cream which has been coloured grey, with a little shimmer added to it.
It will also be available in The Lemon Tree lounge for the duration of the festival.
Digital marketing executive of Mackie’s Ross Byrne said: “It’s a celebration of Granite and was made to celebrate the Granite City.”
