An Aberdeenshire bacon producer has gained a finalist position in the British Charcuterie Awards.
Piggery Smokery, in Alford, will represent the north-east at the event which takes place at BBC Countryfile Live in the British charcuterie tent.
The finalists will go head to head on Thursday August 1 – the first day of the show.

Judges for the awards include charcuterie experts, butchers, chefs, food writers and broadcasters. The head judge is John Gower of Quiet Waters.
The firm will be showcasing two of its products including its panannich sprite and dark dubhloch.
