An Aberdeenshire gin firm have won a Silver Medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).
Considered one of the most influential spirits contests in the world, SFWSC’s judging panel blind-tasted around 3,000 entries from 65 countries.
Inverurie-based drinks firm Raven Spirits’ HRAFN Gin ‘Valhalla’ was one of a few gins from around the world to secure a medal in the competition.
The gin, which was launched by brothers Callum and Peter Sim less than a year ago, previously won a Gold and a Silver Medal at The Spirits Business’ Gin Masters competition.
Peter said: “We are proud of HRAFN Gin ‘Valhalla’ and thrilled it has been recognised again on the global stage.
“This SFWSC Silver Medal validates our refusal to compromise on quality.
“We put considerable thought, care and focus into creating the very best spirits we can.
“It is important to both of us that everything that is created and produced by Raven Spirits is of the highest standard.”
