Things to do in Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire: Go skiing at Glenshee Ski Centre

Offering one of the most magical skiing experiences in Scotland, Glenshee Ski Centre is located north of the Spittal of Glenshee on the road between Blairgowrie and Braemar.
Taking its name from the Gaelic, Glenshee means ‘Glen of the Fairies’. The ski resort covers an area of more than 2,000 acres across four mountains and three valleys.
Boasting 21 lifts and tows, the centre offers a great experience for people of all skiing abilities.

Tickets:
The main ticket office is located in main building near the Base Cafe. Lift Tickets can also be purchased in the ski-hire area. A one-day ticket costs £32 for adults and £21 for children and seniors. Click here for all ticket prices.
How to get there:
Located on the A93, travel via Braemar from Aberdeen. The car journey will take approximately 90 minutes from the city centre.
Parking:
Parking is available near the foot of the Cairnwell chairlift for 1,200 cars.
Ski shop:
The shop is situated between the Cairnwell chair and the Base Cafe. It sells hats, gloves, goggles, protective gear and souvenir items.
Ski Clothing Hire:
Ski clothing, suits, salopettes and jackets can be hired for the day.
Food and drink:
Glenshee has three self-service cafes offering a wide range of snacks and meals. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.
