Hundreds of students are lining a city centre street waiting for an Aberdeen shopping centre’s lock down event to open.
Crowds have gathered on Upperkirkgate, stretching from the front of the Bon Accord Centre up towards Starbucks – this is despite the event not officially opening until 6.30pm.
The lock down is one of the centre’s most highly anticipated events of the year.
The evening features giveaways, DJs and live entertainment. There will also be bar and cocktail demonstrations throughout.
Oh, and there’s also those huge, exclusive, shopping discounts for students.
Di Maggio’s Italian restaurant will also be offering buy one get one free on pizza’s, Yo! Sushi will be serving up 44 of its best dishes for £2.90 each and Millie’s Cookies will have 20% off.
Aberdeen bar Revolution will get the party started with their DJs, dancers, cocktail masterclasses and giveaways.
Restaurant chain Nandos will also be handing out food to early birds queuing to get into the event, and Yo! Sushi, Starbucks and The Pigs Wings will have food samples available too.
Hair and beauty salon James Dun’s House will be on hand to glam up attendees with complimentary services by their expert stylists.
Those planning to attend are asked to sign up to register to be in with the chance of winning VIP entry and many other prizes.
The event is strictly for students and will take place from 6.30pm. Be aware that queues to get into the event are anticipated.
