A colourful festival will return to an Aberdeenshire town next month.
Aberdeen Holi Mela (Colour Festival) will take place on April 28 following the success of the event last year.
Around 900 people attended Holi Mela at Ashdale Hall in Westhill last year which involved throwing coloured powdered packs at each other.
The multi-cultural celebration, which is organised by the Indian Association of North East Scotland (IANES), is a great opportunity for locals to sample traditional Indian food while listening to a DJ playing UK as well as Bollywood hits.
There will be a bouncy castle for kids, a variety of stalls and games for both the whole family.
Coloured powder packs are available to buy from IANES, with no outside powder allowed to be used. The colours are easily washed out of clothes and are also biodegradable.
Holi Mela takes place on from noon at Ashdale Hall, Westhill Drive.
