Guests at the inaugural Society Awards 2019 are in for a treat as some exclusive prizes will be up for grabs on the night.
Hosted by media consultant and former TV anchor Pauline Fraser, the awards – on Thursday November 7 – will give guests the chance to win a pair of tickets to chart-topping superstar Lewis Capaldi’s sold-out gig at Aberdeen’s P&J Live.
Not only will the winner see the Scottish singer on Sunday March 15, they will also win a VIP dinner for two at 195 Bar & Grill at P&J Live, which is the sponsor of the Society award for Best Entertainment Contribution of the Year.
Guests will also be in with the chance of winning four tickets to the world-renowned show Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal at P&J Live on Saturday March 21; an overnight stay with dinner and bed and breakfast at the stunning Fife Arms hotel in Braemar, and a Sunday lunch for four at Maryculter House.
All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to local charity Charlie House, which supports babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions.
Susan Crighton, director of fundraising at Charlie House, said: “We are really looking forward to the inaugural Society Awards ceremony and are delighted to be chosen as the charity beneficiary for the evening. All funds raised at the event will go towards our Big Build Appeal to build a specialist support centre right here in Aberdeen.
We are delighted to now be over the £2 million mark with the support of the people of the north-east.”
The awards ceremony at the Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel will celebrate industries including entertainment, food and drink, fashion and beauty, interiors and tourism.
Aberdeen DJ HomeAlone and magician and mentalist Ariel Hamui will provide entertainment.
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired which sponsors the awards, said: “We are proud to be a key sponsor of the Society Awards, which is already shaping up to be one of the biggest awards ceremonies of its kind in the north-east.”
