An American-themed festival will take place this summer at an Aberdeenshire castle.
North Hop and Castle Fraser’s USA Roots festival is scheduled for Saturday August 31 and Sunday September 1.
Kicking off from 10am to 5pm, the event will take place in the grounds of the castle near Inverurie and will feature a host of street food vendors, themes bars, market traders and more. Expect dirty BBQ cooking, soulful food, Tiki cocktails and sweet treats to name a few.
There will also be cheerleading, line dancing, beer pong and mini Highland games.
The National Trust for Scotland will also offer discounted castle tours on the day, alongside a scavenger hunt for the kids and special ranger walks and activities around the grounds.
Full details of all traders and activities are still to be released. Advance tickets cost £4 and increase to £5 on the door on the day. National Trust Scotland members will be charged £4 on the door and children under 12 go free. VIP tickets are priced at £14 and include entry and a special guided tour of the castle followed by canapés and a beer or glass of fizz.
A collaboration event between the National Trust Scotland and food and drink festival organisers North Hop, 50% of all ticket sales go to the tourism body to support the running of the venues.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads and drinking water will be readily available.
